The Sexbomb Girls officially closed a monumental chapter in Philippine pop history last night, concluding their sixth round reunion series with a triumphant final performance of Get Get Aw: The Sexbomb Concert at the Mall of Asia Arena. Although originally slated for the outdoor SMDC Festival Grounds, the production made a last-minute pivot back to the Arena due to Manila’s unpredictable weather which a decision that clearly resonated with the public, as the venue was packed to the rafters with fans eager to witness the group’s final bow.

The production design was a masterful use of space, opting for a 270-degree proscenium setup with two expansive ramps that allowed the members to fully roam and engage with the crowd. While the visuals remained consistent with the previous five rounds, they were updated with fresh elements tailored for this grand finale. Despite a few minor, familiar audio delays that have cropped up throughout the series, the energy in the room remained unshakable. The show opened with a symbolic masterstroke: the girls emerged through a vibrant red door to the “Spaghetti Song”—traditionally their encore number, signifying their definitive return “home” to the concert stage.

Having witnessed four of the six shows in this series, this finale stood out as the most cohesive and impactful, primarily because the spotlight remained firmly on the Sexbomb members themselves. The guest list was curated to complement rather than overshadow, leading to several breathtaking highlights.

Sexbomb Aira sent shockwaves through the arena with a high-risk “Alarma” performance, leaping from a 15-foot elevated platform into the arms of her dancers. The energy shifted to high-fashion spectacle when the group strutted down the catwalk like Victoria’s Secret models during a club vibe set by the Black Eyed Peas’ Apl.De.Ap. As he performed “Bebot” and a medley of “Let’s Get It Started” and “I Gotta Feeling,” it felt as though the audience had been transported back to the group’s 2005 career peak.

The evening was balanced by moments of both levity and star power. Sexbomb Weng delighted the crowd with a comedic dance routine of Amakabogera alongside her longtime crush, Wendell Ramos

While Sexbomb Rochelle Pangilinan delivered a show-stopping performance of “Baile” with SB19’s Stell. Their high-energy chemistry punctuated by a surprise “GENTO” dance break from Stell ignited the loudest cheers of the night.

In an emotional final address, Rochelle Pangilinan expressed profound gratitude for the “second chance” to showcase their talents on such a massive scale, thanking the producers and sponsors for taking a gamble on this ambitious reunion. As the group exited back through the red door, it felt less like an ending and more like a passing of the torch.

This concert series served as the perfect closing of the Sexbomb book, cementing their legacy as the blueprint for the P-pop groups that now carry their fire forward.
