B.I. 2023 Asia Tour L.O.L. Hidden Stage [Manila]

Almost 7 months after B.I.’s first fanmeet in the Philippines, Filo IDs got to see him again live in action last March 5 for his B.I. 2023 Asia Tour L.O.L. Hidden Stage in Manila.

With the PICC Plenary Hall full of anticipation from fans, the Korean rapper B.I. (Kim Han Bin) opened the show with his hit single ‘BTBT’. Following that, he performed his Show Me the Money 3 performance ‘Be I’ and solo single ‘One and Only’.

During his ment, Filo IDs kept on asking him to remove his jacket while chanting “Take it off!”. While seriously considering his beloved fans request, he replied that he is not yet ready but will only take off half of it.
He also performed other top songs from his past albums and singles such as ‘Waterfall’, ‘Flame’, ‘Stay’, ‘Got it like that’, ‘Stay’, and many more. He serenaded Filo IDs with his sweet songs ‘Lover’ and ‘Middle with you’.

He showed how much he loves his fans by roaming through the venue not just once, but twice, to meet and greet every single Filo IDs in the middle of his performance. King of fanservice indeed!

With the arrival of a special guest, fans screamed loudly as James Reid surprised the fans with his ‘You and I’ performance. During his ment with B.I., James recommended him to eat balut to commemorate his visit in the Philippines.

After that, he continued to give a rocking performance of his songs like ‘Illa Illa’, ‘Keep me up’, ‘Numb’, ‘COSMOS’, and more.

Before ending the show with ‘Re-birth’, Filo IDs were finally able to show their long awaited core memory project for their beloved idol. A special video just for B.I. was flashed in the screen. While watching, B.I. felt emotional and was teary eyed at the end of the video. He extended his gratitude and said that he will forever treasure the love Filo IDs have given.

As the night is still young, B.I. performed two to-be-released songs during his encore stage. As if this is not enough to excite the fans, he shared that he would release his next album three months from now!
As his finale song, he presented and sang with his fans his hit song ‘COSMOS’.

Before officially ending the concert, some of the fan benefits included a photo opportunity with B.I. and a send-off session, for VIP ticket holders.
This event would not be possible without the dedication of Three Angles Production and the countless staffs behind the scenes to give Filo IDs the best concert they deserved.

pH-1 announces Manila leg of ‘About Damn Time’ Asia tour

Karpos Live is bringing pH-1’s About Damn Time Asia tour to Manila following the previously announced dates in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.

Park Jun-won, more famously known as pH-1, is a South Korean rapper who has made waves in the Korean hip-hop scene since 2016 with his debut single, “Wavy”.

His interest in hip-hop and rap was heavily influenced by his childhood growing up in New York, where he said that all the kids listened to Eminem, 50 Cent and Jay-Z. It was only natural that this ignited his passion to pursue a career in music that eventually, after consistent uploads to SoundCloud, caught the attention of Korean global superstar, Jay Park–founder of H1GHR MUSIC, an international hip-hop and R&B label.

Since signing to the label, he has released two albums, Halo in 2019 and BUT FOR NOW LEAVE ME ALONE in 2022. His discography features notable collaborations with Jay Park, Mokyo, Owen, and more recently, American R&B singer-songwriter, UMI.

If his collaborations are a testament to his songwriting prowess, his live shows speak volumes to him being a natural-born performer.

You get to experience the whole spectrum at a pH-1 show—from slow and laid-back beats to picking up the tempo for his more upbeat and high intensity songs.

His energy doesn’t falter and neither will yours with his ability to command the stage and engage with the audience. Whether you’re a new listener or a long-time fan, it’s easy to go all in and have a damn good K-Hip Hop show when it’s pH-1’s. If there’s one you should go to, it’s this one.

Save the date—
Karpos Live Presents: pH-1 on May 3 at The Filinvest Tent, Alabang.

A #SkinComeTrue Sunday with Song Kang

Song Kang, the 28-year-old Korean actor best known for his roles in dramas Nevertheless, Navillera, Love Alarm, and more, was in Manila for a much-awaited fun meet with Filo Songpyeons.

Presented by Deoproce Philippines and Wilbros Live, the two-hour program showcased Song Kang’s many charms to the delight of those in attendance—with interviews, games, and challenges that allowed the actor to get up close and personal with fans.

Ahead of the fun meet, he also took time to answer questions from the media at an exclusive press conference where we were able to learn a few more things about him!

On what he’s most excited about Filipino fans
Song Kang feels like he improves and develops a lot when he gets to spend time with his fans. He’s curious as to what kind of communication will take place at the fun meet; and, later that night, the actor was brought to tears by the end of the program as he thanked his loyal fans for showering him with so much love.

On being an idol
After the clip of him dancing to NewJeans’ “Hype Boy” went viral, he thinks it’s not within his capabilities to become an idol. He still, however, indulged everyone to a cute little number of the dance during the show!

On what inspires him at work
In the fun meet, Song Kang gamely shared that the film that really got him into acting was Titanic. In the current state of his career, though, he says that whatever movie or drama he watches, he believes there’s always more than one thing he can learn—from the actors going back and forth with each other to how they express their emotions. He always tries to learn from what he sees.

On characters he wants to portray in the future
“It’s not so much a specific character that I would like to play, but my priority is to play characters I enjoy playing,” Song Kang says. He shared how scary and gory his character can become in Sweet Home as he’s currently filming its second season, so he wants to play a happier character next.

On being nicknamed the ‘Son of Netflix’
Song Kang is grateful to be working with the streaming giant, having appeared in several K-Dramas under Netflix. He says he’s been enjoying his work as they’ve become his family and friends.

Needless to say, the event was a huge success as Filo Songpyeons went home with so many great memories with their favorite actor!

A Sundate with Park Jinyoung

Got7 member Park Jinyoung is back in Manila after 3 long years for his fan meet and was welcomed by Filipino Aghases (GOT7 Fan name) with much love and excitement.

This was Park Jinyoung’s first fan meeting where he showcased songs from his solo album, “Chapter 0: With”. The event opened with him singing “Coming Home” followed by “Cotton Candy” which excited many of his fans! During the Q&A portion after the performance, Park Jinyoung shared how it took him 2-3 years to produce the album and how difficult the process was in preparing for it. “This is my first time…took so long. I was bored without the members. I really waited for this day (the fan meeting)…,” Park Jinyoung shared.

Aside from being known as a GOT7 member, Park Jinyoung is also known for being an actor. I personally became a fan of his when I saw him in “The Devil Judge”. Some clips from his shows were presented to the crowd, and he was asked what each character meant to him. This fan meeting was very different from the other ones I’ve experienced because you could really feel Park Jinyoung’s love for his supporters. During the segment where he gave 4 lucky fans a polaroid picture moment with him, he surprised everyone by adding 2 more fans to the list because he wanted to make more of them feel special.

Another portion of the event that pulled the heart strings of his supporters was the letter reading! Fans were given the opportunity to write on a message board for Park Jinyoung. It was heartwarming to see how he really took his time reading through the message board. You could really see him choosing the ones he felt were most special. He read out 6 letters and asked each fan to come up on stage so he could hug them and give them a gift. Of course, it wasn’t just Park Jinyoung showing his love for the fans during the event! As Park Jinyoung sat down facing the stage to take what he thought was going to be a picture with the audience, the Filipino Aghases surprised him with a video of fans from all over the Philippines greeting him in their own native language.

Park Jinyoung performed a lot of his famous songs, along with some GOT7 tracks as well! I’m sure many fans were happy to hear songs like, “Last Piece”, “NANANA”, and “Home Run”. There were many requests for encores from the audience that night.

From my experience, the main highlight of the event was definitely when Park Jinyoung called all the birthday celebrants to come up to the stage with him, and he personally wrote a special message for each fan as a birthday gift! He was so sweet by asking each celebrant what they’d want him to write for them. This was a special moment for me because my friend was one of the birthday celebrants! To see her experience her KPop dreams made me so happy!

At the end of the event, both Park Jinyoung and his fans were sad to part ways. He shared how he will definitely be coming back to the Philippines, and he is excited to be reunited with his Filipino Aghases! His fans wished him well as Park Jinyoung is known to be starting military service soon and will be busy for the next 2 years.
