The best thing ’bout August ending is Filipino music fans reuniting with Secondhand Serenade as the band returns to Manila for a two-night show. John Vesely, the vocalist, pianist and guitarist behind the one-man band, will be singing some of the songs that defined the emo-pop generation on Aug. 29 and 30 at the New Frontier Theater.

Secondhand Serenade last visited Manila in 2012, and the band will once again meet their loyal and passionate Pinoy fans. Loyal and passionate, I say, because the Manila stop of Secondhand Serenade’s Asia Tour was originally only for one night. Due to the overwhelming response of fans, the second date was added.
