The multi-talented actress and singer Karylle is set to take the stage as Mrs. Bucket in the highly anticipated Manila production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical.

Opening this July at The Theatre at Solaire, the show promises a magical experience brought to life by GMG Productions. For Karylle, the story is deeply resonant, touching on the universal struggle of balancing reality with the courage to pursue one’s aspirations. She shares that the story explores whether we are truly “allowed to dream,” emphasizing the importance of staying grounded and finding solutions without losing that vital spark of imagination.
For Karylle, the upcoming production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory represents a significant milestone that bridges the gap between different generations of theater-goers.
Drawing from her cherished experiences in The Sound of Music, she fondly recalls the magic of “stage door” culture—long before it moved to the parking lot—where she would spend time connecting with families who had traveled from all over to share in the experience. She sees this new role as a similar opportunity to unite fans of the original film and the newer adaptations, all brought together by the unique, visceral energy of a live stage performance.

Karylle believes the true meaning of this production lies in its promise to deliver a most magical experience, inviting both long-time fans and first-time theater visitors to witness the story’s wonders in a way only the theater can provide.
The musical will run from July 8 to July 26, 2026. Fans can secure their seats now, as tickets are officially available through Ticketworld at www.ticketworld.com.ph or directly at the Solaire Box Office. Don’t miss this heartwarming performance in one of the season’s biggest musical events.
