VVINK’s full-length album carries a clear and deliberate artistic direction—
warm, familiar, and deeply rooted in OPM sensibilities. Built around the
phrase “It Starts With A Wink,” the project draws from the idea of a secret
signal between people—an unspoken understanding that instantly creates
connection. In the same way, the album mirrors the kind of relatable
emotions, everyday experiences, and familiar storytelling that listeners
naturally see themselves in, reflecting the same approach FlipMusic has long
embraced in shaping local mainstream music. The album will be released on May 29, 2026 in all major music streaming platforms.
In an era where full albums have become increasingly rare, the project
stands out even more boldly, titled It Starts With a Wink – The First Full
Album. The name reflects its intent: albums are meant to be definitive
statements, and this release is positioned as the clearest expression of the
VVINK sound.

The album unfolds as a seamless listening journey, opening with an I-N-T-R-O
before easing into the infectious and charming showcase of “TULALA” and
the playful energy of “BADUY.” An INTERLUDE transitions into a more
emotional stretch with “TATLONG HILING” and the dreamlike atmosphere of
“KAILAN KA AAMIN.” “Zzz Zzz” serves as a short skit that lightens the mood
once again, leading naturally into “TULOG PA SI GANDA,” a hybrid track that
combines a Jersey Style Beat, Funky House, and Miami Bass influences into
one vibrant and playful sound. At the center of the project is “PAG-IBIG
FUN,” the album’s key track, which captures the youthful, bright, and
carefree energy that defines the record as a whole. The momentum then
settles into heartfelt moments through “IKAW LANG ANG KULANG” and
“OO.” “OO” functions as a bridge between two tracks, partially reprising
melodic lines from the previous song while transitioning from a modern
production style into a more vintage-inspired sound reminiscent of The 5th
Dimension, using older mixing techniques to create a warm, nostalgic shift.
This deliberate transformation serves as a passage into “IKAW IKAW,” a full-
band tribute song dedicated to parents, deepening the album’s emotional
core and organic, live-instrument feel.
The record ultimately closes in two distinct movements. First, “IT’S A RAP”
delivers a high-energy finale through hard rap lines and powerful belting vocals
over a traditional boom bap foundation, bringing the album to a bold, climactic
finish that highlights VVINK’s versatility. Finally, the project ends with “VVINK
VVINK”, a very short teaser of future material to come—an intentional closing
wink that hints at what’s next. Even in its brevity, it carries the possibility of
hard-hitting directions, leaving listeners with anticipation rather than closure.
Sonically, the album remains bright and easygoing throughout, driven by clean
melodies, strong hooks, and polished yet playful production. While it follows a
proven pop structure, VVINK leans more intentionally into OPM textures—
warmer phrasing, familiar emotional tones, and a sound that feels distinctly
local.
Rather than reinventing the wheel, VVINK refines it, delivering a project that
feels accessible, sincere, and built to endure within the evolving P-pop
landscape, all while carrying the unmistakable FlipMusic signature sound.

VVINK set for an album showcase happening at the Robinsons Galleria on May 28, 2026, 5pm. Registration for the event are already closed.
