The magic of Pelican Town finally arrived in the Philippines as Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons made its highly anticipated stop at The Theatre at Solaire last April 25, 2026. Presented by Film Concerts PH and produced by SOHO Live, the concert brought the game’s world to life through the Filharmonika Orchestra, led by Thai conductor Thanapol Setabrahmana. First announced in 2023, Festival of Seasons brings an intimate concert experience performed by a chamber orchestra, with music curated by ConcernedApe himself. The tour expanded to the Philippines last year and, with its first ever stop in Manila, fans were eager to finally experience the show live.

For many, Stardew Valley has never been just a game. It has been a source of comfort and a community where people have found friendship and connection that extends beyond the screen. Even before entering, the excitement was already clear. Fans showed up dressed as their favorite characters. Spotted were Harvey, Haley, Abigail, Shane, Mayor Lewis with Marney and even JojaMart employees!

Whether you’ve been farming for years or are just starting your first save, the show was easy to enjoy. Thanapol Setabrahmana guided the audience through the performance, and his familiarity with the game allowed him to connect authentically with the fans.

Opening with Grandpa’s Theme and the Stardew Valley Overture, the orchestra set a tone that felt nostalgic and personal right from the start. The music was presented through following the seasons in the game: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.

The first Season Suite performed was Spring, where every player’s journey begins, before the Town Medley took its turn. It captured those first days on the farm so well—planting parsnips, meeting everyone in town, and realizing Pierre’s is always closed on Wednesdays!

This shifted into the bright and lively sounds of Summer. It was hard not to move along with the music. The Mines medley followed, and the orchestra delivered a mesmerizing performance that highlighted the contrast between the gentle nature of its music and one of the game’s most challenging early goals—reaching level 100 in the Mines, starting out with only a rusty sword. The Summer set ended with Dance of the Moonlight Jellies. It felt soulful, with a sense of moving forward even when you’re not sure what comes next. As the game puts it, “The glow of summer has faded now, and the moonlight jellies make their way to the great beyond.” Sheet music for the piece was also distributed after the show, allowing fans to revisit its beauty in their own homes.

Fall season opened with the Stardew Valley Fair Theme, capturing that familiar moment for players determined to beat Pierre’s grange display. One of the most fun segments was the Saloon Medley, especially for those who have spent hours on Journey of the Prairie King. Even if you didn’t recognize the specific track, the orchestra made you feel like you were part of the victory. The performance was so well executed that it had the entire crowd hyped, drawing huge applause. What really sets the performance apart was how different the music felt live. It sounded fuller, richer, and more alive. The orchestra is very successful in giving the familiar tracks new depth while staying faithful to their original sound.

The Season Suite for Winter was played next and later brought the focus toward the villagers. In the game, this is also the season where attention often turns to other tasks on the farm such as improving relationships with the villagers, and the concert reflected that same idea. Themes for Abigail (A Stillness in the Rain), Penny (Pleasant Memory), and Haley (Pickle Jar Rag) were performed, giving fans a chance to reconnect with these characters before transitioning into Wedding Celebration. Whether it’s slowly winning over Haley or patiently building a connection with Sebastian, the music marks that moment where players finally see their efforts come together!

Before the final pieces, the conductor expressed his gratitude to SOHO Live, Film Concerts PH, the Filharmonika Orchestra, ConcernedApe, and the fans who continue to support both the show and the game. But the night wasn’t quite over. In The Deep Woods was performed, after which the conductor briefly left the stage and returned for Night Market and A Golden Star Is Born. It was a fitting conclusion that felt like completing a full year on the farm in a single sitting. The audience gave the orchestra and the conductor a well-deserved round of applause. And as the night drew to a close, anticipation for what could come next had already begun to build, with many clearly hoping for an even larger production or future installments of Symphonies of Seasons in the Philippines.
