After wrapping up the crowd-drawing run of Bagets The Musical, Newport World Resorts is keeping the energy going at the Newport Performing Arts Theater stage with a series of shows and concerts this April. The lineup offers audiences a fresh slate of live entertainment while setting the stage for the much-anticipated Bongga Ka, ‘Day!: The Annie Batungbakal Musical.

The April calendar features a mix of local and international acts, including The Best of The Bee Gees with the Manila Symphony Orchestra, Bonifacio “Ang Supremo” Isang Musikal, Singaporean comedian Kumar, Joey Albert, and the Vienna Boys Choir.

On April 10 and 11, The Best of The Bee Gees takes the stage, joined by the Manila Symphony Orchestra under conductor George Ellis. The concert revisits the group’s Greatest album, with orchestral renditions of their iconic disco and pop hits.

On April 13 at 7 PM, the Philippine Stagers Foundation presents Bonifacio “Ang Supremo” Isang Musikal, a powerful retelling of Andres Bonifacio’s life and legacy. Written and directed by Vincent Tañada, with music by Pipo Cifra, the production traces his journey from self-taught laborer to revolutionary leader. The performance marks the Grand Gala Farewell Show of the award-winning musical, following more than 700 performances nationwide.

Comedy takes the spotlight on April 18 as Kumar brings KUMAR: Fifty:50 to NPAT. The Singaporean performer, known for his sharp and unapologetic humor, marks another milestone in his decades-long career.

On April 25, OPM icon Joey Albert celebrates her 45th anniversary in music with a special concert featuring Martin Nievera, Raymond Lauchengco, Janet Basco, Iwi Laurel, Chad Borja, Janice de Belen, Judith Banal, and Pops Fernandez, promising an evening of timeless hits and memorable collaborations.

Capping the month are performances by the Vienna Boys Choir on April 26 and 27. The Vienna Boys’ Choir is a group of sopranos and altos based in Vienna, Austria. It is one of the best-known boys’ choirs in the world. For a century, they have been touring the world and touching audiences with their music.
