Filipino-Australian RnB singer RINI brings Past The Naked Eye Tour to Manila this July

Live Nation is thrilled to announce the Melbourne- raised artist RINI in Asia! RINI is set to perform in Manila this 19 July 2023 at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier as part of his PAST THE NAKED EYE 2023 TOUR.

RINI will kick off the tour in Singapore on 17 July, followed by Manila, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Bangkok.

Tickets to public will go on-sale on Wednesday, 31 May at 12pm local time onwards via SM Tickets. Visit livenation.ph for more details.

ABOUT RINI

Since the inception of his musical career, RINI has been endowed with this unique responsibility to share his truth. The Melbourne-raised artist speaks directly to listeners while wearing his heart on his sleeve, relinquishing control of his emotions in a way that has a liberating effect on people. Being vulnerable is a heavy cross for RINI to bear but the end result has proven to be cathartic for his creativity, equipping the genre-defying R&B singer with something real to say: “I just want to take my time with songs,” he avows.

In 2021, RINI unveiled his 12-track debut album Constellations, an ambient collection of sounds that explore the nuances of love, which garnered praise from media outlets like Complex, Rated R&B, and UPROXX – the latter describing his project as,“an out-of-this-world touch to RINI’s music, offering a beautiful love story that any hopeless romantic would die for even though it seems far too good to be true.”

Through a sultry falsetto and soul-stirring voice that’s universally embraced, the 24-year-old songbird revealed an emotional depth in his songwriting that doesn’t feel out of place. His creative process is fluid and impassioned, turning small, mundane details into romantic neo-soul fantasies. Now, after emerging as a remarkable new talent poised to thrive in today’s R&B landscape, RINI is laser focused on continuing to push the boundaries of modern music with his unique style, accumulating over 376M streams across platforms while averaging 2.2M monthly listeners on Spotify to date.

Over the years, RINI became emboldened by the discovery that music can shape the world around him. From relocating out West to acclimating himself to the fast-paced lifestyle, this stage of his career has been about growth and self-discovery. As we see him today, RINI is ready to showcase a new side of his artistry with UltraViolet, his sophomore EP arriving this Fall. “[UltraViolet] comes from a different place, of different influence,” says RINI. “It’s bolder, more upfront and a more dauntless version of RINI that translates into the sound of the EP. I’ve taken a different approach sonically and I could say that I’m taking a risk with some of the songs simply because it’s different to the usual vibe that you would expect to hear from me but that’s really the whole point of it. UltraViolet is the product of this.” UltraViolet is a pivot from the narrative introduced with RINI’s debut album, unearthing another side of his artistry that mirrors the changes he’s experienced since the pandemic. Unlike anything he’s released before, this project sets the tone for a new chapter in his sonics – one that is confident and courageous.

3 things to look for to at OVERPASS: Kpop Concert on June 11

As seemingly infinite flow of Korean acts continue to fill big venues in the Philippines, OVERPASS: K-Pop Music Concerts offers a night of stellar performances with today’s best of K-Pop – EXO’s Baekhyun, Jeon Somi, and B.I!

Happening on June 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, OVERPASS brings together EXO-Ls, Sommungchis, and I.Ds for the ultimate fan gathering celebrating the excellence of K-Pop music in R&B, Pop, Soul, and Hip-Hop genres.

Baekhyun’s much-awaited return

After being officially discharged from his two-year military service last February, Phixos surely missed seeing the one-and-only Byun Baekhyun! Picking up from the release of his album “Bambi” in March 2021, the main vocalist of EXO is now unstoppable as he has been appearing in festivals around the globe immediately since his return.

Just imagine singing along to “Betcha” and “Candy” as Filo EXO-Ls finally reunite with their beloved Kyoong!

A multi-talented artist, Baekhyun is one of the busiest artists in K-Pop. Apart from EXO and its sub-units, he has also ventured in other acts such as joining the supergroup SuperM, debuting as an actor in “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” and finding massive success as a soloist. In fact, Baekhyun is the first artist since 2001 to achieve a million sales for his EP “Delight” and he then went on to receive his second million-seller with “Bambi.” Baekhyun also achieved the most “Best Male Artist” trophies after winning 3 years in a row at Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) history, a prestigious music awards show in South Korea.

Jeon Somi’s first visit to the Philippines

Best known for her viral tracks “DUMB DUMB” and “Birthday,” hitmaker Jeon Somi will finally come to the Philippines! OVERPASS marks the soloist’s very first visit to the country and Filo Sommungchis are in for a treat as their yearning to hear Somi live will finally come true.

Recently, her hit songs “What You Waiting For,” “XOXO,” and “DUMB DUMB” were featured in the new romcom series Netflix’s “XO, Kitty” which is currently one of the top streamed shows at the streaming giant.

B.I endless love and appreciation for PH I.Ds

Kim Hanbin (stage name: B.I) is indeed in love with his Filo I.Ds. In just a year, the rapper-producer has paid a visit to the Philippines twice – one for a fanmeeting last August 2022 and one for a solo concert last March 2023. OVERPASS will be the artist’s third solo visit in the Philippines.

The solo hip-hop act will be having his comeback this June 1 with the release of his second studio album “To Die For.” B.I has been performing the title track “Dare to Love” at various festivals prior to its official drop, and who knows, maybe the lucky audience of OVERPASS will be one of the first to hear the new tracks live!

Tickets for the OVERPASS: K-Pop Music Concert are available for purchase at TicketNet outlets nationwide and online at www.ticketnet.com.ph.

Ticket holders from each section will receive fan benefits ranging from souvenir cards, posters, lanyards, and even a chance to get a free album of the artists!

Gear up and get ready to ride the K-pop wave at OVERPASS! Hope to see you there, chingus!
