Known by fans as one of the most iconic indie bands, TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB started as a self-producing band in Northern Ireland. They made their debut in 2010 with their album Tourist History which includes their biggest hit “What You Know”. Music fans and critics also warmly received this album as it got selected for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year in 2010.
Their second album Beacon (2012) followed the success of their debut album. It ranked at number one on the Irish Albums Chart and reached number two on the UK Albums Chart within weeks after its release. Since then, nothing can stop the band’s success as they continue to flourish with more hit singles and albums such as Gameshow (2016) and False Alarm (2019).
TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB is also a constant sight at grand music festivals in US and Europe like Glastonbury Festival and Reading and Leeds Festival to name a few. Aside from this, they also frequently receive nominations and recognitions from award-giving bodies such as the NME and MTV.
In 2022, TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB continues to surprise their fans as they release a brand-new full-length album titled Keep On Smiling with singles “Wonderful Life” and “Lucky”. The album is also a testament to their consistent yet boundless sound, ranging from indie-alternative, synth, New Wave, and Dance-punk.
As the new year starts, Band members, Alex Trimble (vocals), Sam Halliday (lead guitar), and Kevin Baird (bass) announce more shows. Their latest tour is set to be a phenomenal feat as they cross borders to bring their music to fans around the globe including an elusive grand stop in the Philippines to reunite with their Filipino fans.
