Jack White is heading to Manila this November

Founding member of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, JACK WHITE is coming to Manila on November 5, 2022 at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier for his The Supply Chain Issues Tour. Tickets go on-sale to the general public on September 23, 10AM via SMTickets.com and all SM Tickets outlets nationwide.

The 12-time GRAMMY® Award-winner and 36-time nominee, and Third Man Records founder, is set to release his fourth and fifth solo studio albums in 2022. FEAR OF THE DAWN (Third Man Records), featuring his latest single “Taking Me Back,” was released on April 8th, 2022 and ENTERING HEAVEN ALIVE (Third Man Records) followed on July 22, 2022. In addition to writing global anthems such as The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” and The Raconteurs’ “Steady, As She Goes,” all three of White’s acclaimed previously released solo albums – 2012’s RIAA gold certified solo debut, BLUNDERBUSS, 2014’s LAZARETTO, and 2018’s BOARDING HOUSE REACH – debuted at #1 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 along with a variety of other charts.

Among his myriad of international honors, White’s long run of career GRAMMY® awards and nominations saw BLUNDERBUSS earning five nods over two years, including “Album of the Year,” “Best Rock Album,” “Best Rock Song” (for “Freedom At 21”), “Best Rock Performance,” and “Best Music Video” (the latter two honoring the single, “I’m Shakin”). LAZARETTO proved equally popular with GRAMMY® voters, scoring a nomination as “Best Alternative Music Album,” while its title track received the 2015 GRAMMY® Award for “Best Rock Performance” as well an additional nod as “Best Rock Song.” Praised by NME as “wild, mysterious and unlike anything else around…a full, lush sounding thing packed with personality and life,” BOARDING HOUSE REACH proved among White’s most unique works, topping a variety of charts in the US and Canada while drawing applause around the world.

“The spirit of freaky free-play is thrilling and refreshing, a worthy end unto itself,” wrote Rolling Stone. “Like nearly all of White’s work, it manages to feel fresh, original, and still deeply rooted in history.” In 2020, White released The White Stripes Greatest Hits (Third Man Records/Legacy) and, more recently, unveiled jackwhiteartanddesign.com, as well as opened the doors to Third Man Records London – the third Third Man Records location and first internationally. White will be embarking on a worldwide tour in 2022 to support his new albums.

Boy Pablo Live in Manila 2022

Indie pop singer-songwriter Boy Pablo is coming back to Manila this November 2022.

Norwegian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Boy Pablo is embarking on a tour in Asia! At the age of 17, he became one of the most well-known name in the indie scene. To date, Boy Pablo’s music has racked up well over 500 million streams across multiple platforms. Boy Pablo is the artist behind internationally beloved bops like “hey girl”, “Dance, Baby” and “Feeling Lonely”. Boy Pablo first came to widespread attention with the video for his viral 2017 single, ‘Everytime’, an offbeat, lo-fi video that shone like a hidden diamond in the rough of the internet. Following up with his 2018 breakout EP, Soy Pablo, a charming seven-track collection of dazzling, nostalgic bedroom-pop anthems, Boy Pablo sold out world tours and built a truly international following.

Late last year he dropped his debut full-length Wachito Rico honing his particular brand of woozily romantic indie-pop, fusing a jangly, retro sound with sun-kissed 60s melodies, subtle shadings that nod to Muñoz’s Latin-American background and his charismatic tongue-in-cheek personality that balances heartache with lightness, ennui with serenity. Now he’s bringing the charm, fun, heartbreak and joy of Wachito Rico to the stage for the first time. Good vibes are guaranteed.

Carmina Topacio —who became known as “Pinay YouTube sensation” was one of the first in the Philippines to gain traction in the platform and just the other day, she released a homemade music video for her latest song Awit ng Mithi, an original composition.

What makes the song and video special is that it was produced via exchanging files online due to the quarantine. “Awit ng Mithi talks about love fading over time. Because sometimes, feelings change, or at least for one person. It talks about longing for a relationship to go back to the start, when things were good.” said Carmina on the meaning of the song. “It talks about wishing for love to be found again from the partner who changed and does not seem to be around anymore. I hope that by sharing what I wrote, people would feel that they are not alone in this experience and that they can find comfort in knowing that.”

A truly sensational artist, Carmina started her YouTube channel at the age of 17. She started posting cover songs then eventually shared her original compositions.

She sealed her status with the success of her cover “Afterlife” by Avenged Sevenfold which has over 3 million views on YouTube and “Eyes on Me” by Faye Wong (in the style of a music video) with 1 million views. Her most popular original song was “I don’t want to love another” which was well loved by her fans as several of them made their own covers of the hit song on YouTube. Diamond Certified, Grammy-Nominated Bebe Rexha Unveils “Baby, I’m Jelous” feat. Doja Cat

Diamond-certified, Grammy-nominated, Global Superstar Bebe Rexha teams up with Doja Cat for a stormy new single and video, “Baby, I’m Jealous,” that explores the insecurities of living in a digital age. Slinking synth work and a shivering bassline set the stage for an intoxicating pop bop about the perils of scrolling endlessly through social media.
Rexha wrote, and sings, about the negativity the modern era often imposes on people—envy, rage, self-doubt—but the single isn’t dark and brooding. “Baby, I’m Jealous” is funky, playful, and confident, even before Doja Cat sideswipes the song with a few gleeful bars aimed squarely at society’s expectations for women (“Waste trainer for a tinier waist / But I can’t help if I like the way food taste”). According to Rexha, it’s all about taking ownership of those complex emotions.

“‘Baby, I’m Jealous’ is a song I wrote about embracing my insecurities,” Rexha explains. “It’s about the way social media has heightened my jealousy which can affect how I feel about myself. We are constantly flooded with the highlights of other people’s lives, and at times I find myself comparing my worth and beauty to others. It’s part of the human process to experience jealousy—ultimately, this is an anthem to embrace those feelings as a form of empowerment.”

Today, Rexha also shares a stunning technicolor video for the single, directed by frequent award-winning collaborator Hannah Lux Davis, which features actors and influencers Charli D’Amelio, Nikita Dragun, and Avani Gregg. Rexha’s siren red hair bursts off the screen and the musical wonder woman’s playful lyrics come to life in the colorful fantastical clip.

“Baby, I’m Jealous” is Rexha’s first release of 2020, but it arrives hot on the heels of the news that her #1 hit “Meant to Be” with Florida Georgia Line, was certified Diamond (10x Platinum) by the RIAA. In 2018, Rexha released her debut album Expectations, which featured that hit alongside another Platinum single, “I’m a Mess.” Rexha had a busy 2019 as well, releasing a string of ecstatic cuts, including the simmering “Last Hurrah,” the swooning “Not 20 Anymore,” and her euphoric feature on the Chainsmokers’ “Call You Mine.” “Baby, I’m Jealous” with Doja Cat is just the first taste of the thrilling new music Rexha has on the horizon. This comes off the news of Rexha newly signing with SAL&CO management. She’s set to release a new album in early 2021, so stay tuned.
