The Between Albums Tour: Lauv The Philippine Tour 2023

Pop singer-songwriter Lauv is coming back to the Philippines as part of his The Between Albums Tour on September 2023. He is scheduled to perform at Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City and in MOA Arena. He will be joined by American singer-songwriter Alexander 23 on this tour. Lauv first performed in the Philippines in 2017, held his successful first arena show back in 2019. This will also be his second time in Cebu. Lauv’s new studio album, “All 4 Nothing” will be released on August 5, 2022.

R To V: Red Velvet Live in Manila 2023

Multi-awarded KPOP girl group Red Velvet will be headlining their first ever solo concert in the Philippines as part of the group’s 4th concert tour “R to V”. The show will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 2023. The group was formed in 2014 by SM Entertainment. They debuted in August 1, 2014 “Happiness” with the four-member line-up of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy. In March 2015, Yeri joined the group. This will be the group’s 4th appearance in the Philippines since 2015. They’ve performed in different KPOP super shows in the Philippines.

Alanis Morissette adds 2nd show for her August 2023 Manila show

On March 22, 2023, Ovation Productions announced the Manila concert of Alanis Morissette to finally be set on August 1, 2023, at Mall of Asia Arena but due to high demand, DAY 1 is sold out and we are adding a new date on August 2, 2023.

Her upcoming show in Manila is part of her tour celebrating the supposedly 25th anniversary of her album and was originally scheduled to take place at the MOA Arena on April 2020 but it was moved to December 2021, then November 2022, the shows have been postponed three times because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jagged Little Pill captured the zeitgeist of the mid-’90s by crossing the line between Gen-X cynicism and self-realization. It was pitched somewhere between glitzy mainstream pop and angst-ridden alternative rock. The album, which produced a string of Top 10 songs like “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic,”. It also won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. Making the 21-year-old Morissette the youngest performer to ever win the prestigious honor, the album was ranked number 69 on Rolling Stone’s list of “the 500 best albums of all time.”

Morissette won a total of seven Grammys and was nominated fourteen times. Included among her finest songs are You Learn, Head Over Feet, All I Really Want, Thank You, Mary Jane, Uninvited, Perfect, Forgiven, Right Through You, Wake Up, and many more.

Alanis Morissette, Canadian-American singer-songwriter, will finally perform her special one-night concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on August 1, 2023, to celebrate the 28th anniversary of her most recognized and iconic album, Jagged Little Pill.

She has composed music for theatrical releases and appeared in films both big and small. Aside from entertainment, she is a strong advocate for female empowerment, as well as spiritual, psychological, and physical well-being. Alanis Morissette launched Conversation with Alanis Morissette in 2016, a monthly podcast featuring conversations with a variety of revered authors, doctors, educators, and therapists on a wide range of psychosocial topics ranging from spirituality to developmentalism to art.

On December 5, 2019, “JAGGED LITTLE PILL” the musical made its Broadway debut at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City. The show was nominated for fifteen Tony Awards and won 2 Tony Awards at the 2021 ceremony. In July of 2020, Alanis released her ninth studio album, Such Pretty Forks In The Road, to rave reviews. In August of 2021, Alanis kicked off her sold out world tour celebrating 25 years of Jagged Little Pill. The tour became the #1 female-fronted tour from 2021 and one of the Top Worldwide Tours of 2021 selling over 500,000 tickets. Alanis also stars in Fox’s sitcom, “The Great North,” which has returned for season 3 in 2022.

Stray Kids, the K-Pop sensation known for their pulsating beats, staggering choreography, and powerful energy, graced Manila with a 2-day concert called MANIAC WORLD TOUR, presented by PULP LIVE WORLD. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this event, which promised to be a spectacular visual and musical experience. And Stray Kids weren’t kidding in delivering this.

Fans frolicked in an electric atmosphere, as Stray Kids is renowned for their high-octane performances that leave audiences spell-bound. With their head-banging tunes, slick dance moves, and irresistible charm, Stray Kids have amassed a massive following around the country. For many STAYs, the 2023 Stray Kids concert in Manila was a dream come true.

The concert featured some of Stray Kids’ biggest hits, such as “Back Door,” “God’s Menu,” “Miroh,” and “Case 143.” These songs have become anthems for thousands of fans, and hearing them live was an unforgettable experience. Despite having a member short, the boys delivered AF! 120 MINUTES OF MINHO MAGIC

A sea of cheers and pearl aqua light sticks filled the MOA Arena last January 28 to herald the fan meet of SHINee member, Choi Min-ho. Better known as Minho, the South Korean singer, screen actor and songwriter entertained his adoring fans for over 120 minutes with music, missions and must-know new trivia about the man of the hour.

“It’s been a while and it’s making my heart flutter”, shares the heartthrob. And the years not seeing Minho onstage was evident as his fans were very receptive to his stage antics together with local host, Sam Oh. From wearing a barong, the recreating scenes from various K-dramas, to fan ticket raffles and more, how fortunate indeed were those present at the venue to witness the evening’s ceremonies. Of which he blushes, “I’m so excited for this first fan meet in the Philippines”.

Beyond the games, Minho eagerly shared his solo tracks onstage. Mixing his palpable energy and engaging lyricism, the SHINee member talked about his tracks – namely “Heartbreak” and “Runaway” and how he is proud performing them for admirers of his music. “I’m very happy that the first fan meet outside Seoul is in the Philippines”. And with that, we can feel his warmth towards the loving Shawols present. Assuring the fandom’s request for a possible return show with his groupmates to happen again in Manila.

After the 2 hour program, we can safely say that it truly was a lucky choice for his fans to see him live.

A Good Afternoon with the Good Boy, Kim Seon-Ho

Kim Seon-Ho was recently in Manila for his sold-out fan meet and the Korean actor did not disappoint. All smiles and exuding with charm, the leading man dubbed as “Good Boy” thrilled audiences with fun games, interactive moments and all around good time. With his signature smile he quips, “Magandang araw, na-miss ko kayong lahat.”

In true Pinoy fashion, the local fans went all out with their cheers and high energy for the actor. To which, the Korean celebrity was visibly at awe with the love he was given. “I’m happy thanks to you. I will cherish this day for the rest of my life”, he shares. From fans dressed in wedding gowns, to hanboks, to lighted personalized signs and more, the supporters of Kim Seon-Ho showed up to the party donning their personal flair.

Onstage, Kim Seon-Ho opened up with some surprising facts. He likes bibingka and adores pancit. He finds the Pinoy game sipa interesting. He even shares Tagalog phrases with ease. Indeed, his adoration for our culture is evident. He too was very generous with his interactions. Shaking hands with fans offstage, acknowledging the players who joined him for the various segments and laughing at the funny banter with host, Kring Kim.

Alas, the show must end. But not before presenting Kim Seon-Ho a touching tribute video. The emotive piece was one of the highlights of the program as it brought out the feels from the fans and Kim Seon-Ho as well. “Salamat po. I had a very good time”, he shares.
