HYBS performs at Karpos Live in Manila this July

Karpos Live, the intimate concert series of Karpos Multimedia, has just announced a new show featuring rising Bangkok-based indie-pop duo, HYBS.

Their return to Manila comes just four months after their performance at Wanderland: The Comeback to a very excited and welcoming audience.

Formed in 2021 after finally pursuing their dream to build a music career, Alyn and Karn quickly rose to the scene with their debut single, ‘Ride’, which has gathered over 48 million Spotify streams to date. Their first album, ‘Making Steak’, released in 2022 has already amassed almost 100 million streams worldwide.

With the love and support they’ve gained in just three years, HYBS has already proven their potential to reach rockstar status–and this is only just the beginning.

It isn’t hard to love the songs they create. Their laidback tunes that combine 80’s and 90’s retro-pop with R&B is music to our ears. With soundscapes inspired by The Beatles and PREP, we wouldn’t mind listening and dancing to more.

But if there is something that truly makes the duo shine and leave an impression to a listener, it is their charming, cheery, and eccentric personality that seeps through their music and is greatly evident in real life.

It is what has kept them in our minds since Wanderland–so we’re clearly eager to get into the immaculate HYBS vibes again.

Karpos Live Presents: Kodaline Live In Manila 2023

The Dublin-based modern rock group’s emotional, heartfelt, and powerful anthems make them no stranger to the Filipino audience.

Kodaline first performed in the country as headliners of Wanderland Music & Arts Festival in 2018 before holding a solo show the following year in 2019.

With the likes of “High Hopes”, “All I Want” and “The One” at the forefront of their emotionally-charged and intimate soundtracks, a Kodaline show brings a special kind of energy rooted from a deep connection between the music and the listener.

If you’ve listened to any of their tracks, it certainly sounds like they wear their heart on their sleeves when writing them. Kodaline has a way of tugging at your heartstrings with their reflective lyricism and endearing musicality, leaving you stunned with their ability to speak to you through their music.

It’s no wonder their live performance feels like a warm embrace—because when the music speaks to you, it’s even better when shared with others.

Their latest release, Our Roots Run Deep, is a testament to that. The live stripped down album highlights that raw connection between the music and the audience. “We’re able to showcase the strength of our songs through this album,” frontman Steve Garrigan says. There are no loud gears, noises, and outside distractions to contend with—just the song at its core and the crowd singing it back more.

It’s a perfect Karpos Live world, where only music + you matters.

Experience it first-hand with Kodaline on September 14, 2023 at The Filinvest Tent, Alabang, Muntinlupa.

pH-1 announces Manila leg of ‘About Damn Time’ Asia tour

Karpos Live is bringing pH-1’s About Damn Time Asia tour to Manila following the previously announced dates in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.

Park Jun-won, more famously known as pH-1, is a South Korean rapper who has made waves in the Korean hip-hop scene since 2016 with his debut single, “Wavy”.

His interest in hip-hop and rap was heavily influenced by his childhood growing up in New York, where he said that all the kids listened to Eminem, 50 Cent and Jay-Z. It was only natural that this ignited his passion to pursue a career in music that eventually, after consistent uploads to SoundCloud, caught the attention of Korean global superstar, Jay Park–founder of H1GHR MUSIC, an international hip-hop and R&B label.

Since signing to the label, he has released two albums, Halo in 2019 and BUT FOR NOW LEAVE ME ALONE in 2022. His discography features notable collaborations with Jay Park, Mokyo, Owen, and more recently, American R&B singer-songwriter, UMI.

If his collaborations are a testament to his songwriting prowess, his live shows speak volumes to him being a natural-born performer.

You get to experience the whole spectrum at a pH-1 show—from slow and laid-back beats to picking up the tempo for his more upbeat and high intensity songs.

His energy doesn’t falter and neither will yours with his ability to command the stage and engage with the audience. Whether you’re a new listener or a long-time fan, it’s easy to go all in and have a damn good K-Hip Hop show when it’s pH-1’s. If there’s one you should go to, it’s this one.

Karpos set to administer DPR: The Regime World Tour in Manila

Wake up, dreamers! DPR is officially bringing The Regime World Tour to the Philippines. After hinting Asia-Pacific dates in their tour announcement last April, the entire gang gang is prepped to take the stage and make their highly anticipated Manila debut on November 30 at The Festival Tent, Alabang.

Formed in 2015, Dream Perfect Regime (DPR) describes themselves as “a fully independent entertainment label, reduced down to just a group of friends with an honest dream.” Composed of a rapper, producer, filmmaker, and a whole lot of achievers, their ambitions were fully realized upon dropping DPR LIVE’s hit debut EP Coming To You Live in 2017.

What started out as an honest dream quickly spun into an ardent passion that resonates with millions of fans around the world. From the trio’s (DPR LIVE, DPR IAN, and DPR CREAM) collaborative EP entitled DPR ARCHIVES to DPR IAN’s recent sophomore efforts with Moodswings In To Order, DPR has a lot more to show — so don’t you dare sleep on these dreamers.
