Pandemonium Tour: Joji Live in Manila 2023

Multi-talented singer-songwriter Joji is coming back to Manila and will headline his first arena show in the Philippines. The show will be part of his 4th concert tour, Pandemonium World Tour which will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on November 28, 2023.

Joji, whose real name is George Miller, is a multi-talented artist known for his music, songwriting, and creative endeavors. Born on September 18, 1992, in Osaka, Japan, he initially gained recognition on the internet under the pseudonym “Filthy Frank.” As Filthy Frank, Joji created comedic and controversial content on YouTube, which garnered a significant following. However, he decided to transition away from this persona and focus on his music career, a decision that would lead to tremendous success.

In addition to his solo work, Joji is associated with the 88rising collective, which promotes Asian and Asian-American artists in the global music scene. This affiliation has allowed him to collaborate with other notable artists and producers, further expanding his artistic reach.

Rex Orange County touring Asia for the first time, coming to Manila on October 2023

Rex Orange County returns to the road this fall for the Live in Asia 2023 Tour including one show in Manila on October 8 at Araneta Coliseum. Kicking off September 15 and running through October 21, the run of dates sees Rex performing across New Zealand, Australia, and Asia, making stops in Manila, Hong Kong, Taipei, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.

Promoted by AEG Presents Asia & Insignia Presents, tickets to Rex Orange County Live in Asia 2023 Manila are priced from PHP 3,180 to PHP 4,770 (prices are exclusive of online fees).

General on sale will take place on Friday, June 16 at 11AM via http://www.InsigniaPresents.com or at TicketNet outlets nationwide.

The tour marks Rex’s inaugural headline shows across Asia and includes long awaited dates in some of his biggest streaming markets.

The dates follow Rex’s 2022 multi-city run in North America that saw Rex performing sold-out shows at iconic venues including The Hollywood Bowl, Forest Hills Stadium, Red Rocks Amphitheater, and a sold-out hometown performance at Gunnersbury Park in London to 20,000 people.

Last year, Rex released his latest album, WHO CARES?, which charted #1 in the UK, #2 in Australia, and #5 in the US. The record includes stand-out songs such as “AMAZING,” “THE SHADE,” “KEEP IT UP,” and “OPEN A WINDOW” featuring Tyler, The Creator, marking the first time the two have collaborated since Tyler’s 2017 album Flower Boy. Complex praised the album in their ‘Best of 2022 So Far’ list, calling it “sobering, upli6ing, fun, and honest all at the same time, making for a great addition to his expanding catalog.” He followed suit with the release of his single “THREAT,” which was heralded by The New York Times as “a tender take on self-doubt.”

HONNE Returns to Manila and Makes Hearts Sing

After four years, HONNE came back to Manila for the fifth time for the Philippine leg of their May 2023 Asia Tour. Thousands of the English synthpop duo’s fans filled the Araneta Coliseum on May 10. The duo, Andy Clutterbuck and James Hatcher, also performed in Davao on May 12 and in Cebu on May 14.

BEKA opened the Manila show with “More Than Friends” and “Don’t Call Me A Friend.” The English singer-songwriter, who has frequently collaborated with HONNE, also told the story behind her song “I’ll Be There” before performing it.

HONNE started their set with “IDGAF About Pain” from “Let’s Just Say the World Ended a Week from Now, What Would You Do?” — their third and latest album. They followed it up with the upbeat “Me & You” and “Free Love,” which got the crowd singing along.

“I can already tell that this is going to be the best night,” Andy told their fans. Providing backing vocals for HONNE’s set, BEKA stole the spotlight with her clear and cool voice when she joined the duo for “Location Unknown.” They followed it up with “Coming Home,” encouraging the crowd to sing along.

In between songs, James said, “I think this is my most favorite gig I have ever played. You guys are the best.”

HONNE continued their set with “306” and “Good Together,” and BEKA shared the stage with them for “Crying Over You.”

A fan named Micah had a sign that said it was their 25th birthday yesterday, so Andy and James asked the crowd to sing the birthday song for them.

The show continued with “Shrink,” and the crowd turned their phones’ lights on for “Heartsong.” BEKA joined HONNE again for “Someone That Loves You” before the duo performed “By My Side,” with Andy dedicating the song to his wife. HONNE also sang “What Would You Do?” and “La La La That’s How It Goes.” Some crowd favorites “Back on Top” and “Warm on a Cold Night” finished the set before their encore.
For the encore, HONNE went back on stage with “No Song Without You.”

“I’m someone who suffers with impostor syndrome. You kind of believe, like, you’re not worthy and you shouldn’t have achieved all these things,” Andy said. “Tonight, for the first time, I feel like we are a proper band.” He also thanked the fans for giving him confidence. James added, “I 100% agree.”

The most requested HONNE song “Day 1” wrapped their Manila set.
While the crowd made their way out of the coliseum, “smile more smile more smile more” played and it ended with the screen showing a message from HONNE to their fans: “Thanks so much for being here today. Take care of each other and get home safely.”

With adorable visuals and colorful lights in the background and fun stories in between dreamy songs, going home from a HONNE show just gives you a warm and happy feeling. It’s no surprise that HONNE has their fans’ support and love since day one.

Brit nominated artist, Calum Scott, coming to Manila for Bridges Asia Tour

Following the release of “Heaven”, multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Calum Scott announces his biggest headline Asia tour to date, the “BRIDGES” Asia Tour, including his debut shows in Tokyo, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. He will come back to Manila on October 20, 2022 at New Frontier Theatre. Promoted by AEG Presents Asia and Ovation Productions, tickets will go on sale on Wednesday June 15 at 10am local via ticketnet.com.ph

Calum will kick off the Asia tour in Tokyo, Japan on October 18 before performing in Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.

CALUM SCOTT ‘BRIDGES’ ASIA TOUR DATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

2022
October 18 Tokyo, Japan Ex Theater Roppongi
October 20 Manila, Philippines New Frontier Theater
October 22 Bangkok, Thailand Moonstar Studio
October 25 Jakarta, Indonesia Bengkel Space SCBD
October 27 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Plenary Hall, KL Convention Centre
October 28 Singapore, Singapore Capitol Theatre

Says Calum, “It feels so incredible to announce my Asia tour! It’s been a long time coming and a lot of planning but after the last few years we’ve had, you can just tell how excited people are for live music again and I’m so happy to be a part of it. I am coming back with my band to play the songs that people discovered me on, as well as new songs from my second album which I would say is my best and most personal work yet – I can’t wait to see you there.”

Calum has announced that his highly awaited sophomore album Bridges will arrive on June 17. The fourth single released from Bridges, “Heaven” once again reveals Calum’s gift for finding unexpected ways to express universal emotions. “As songwriters, we’re always searching for new ways of saying ‘I miss you’ or ‘I love you’ or ‘I want you back,’” says Calum, who co-wrote “Heaven” with Hayley Warner(an Australian singer/songwriter who’s also penned songs for artists like Katy Perry and Tori Kelly). “‘The concept of ‘Heaven’ is the love between two people being so powerful that it is far superior to anything else, any other form of paradise that could be offered. I loved the idea of putting the power into the relationship.”

The follow-up to Calum’s 2018 full-length debut Only Human—a widely acclaimed effort that hit No. 1 on the iTunes album chart in 21 countries across the globe, in addition to selling more than 3.6 million in adjusted album sales and garnering over 7.5 billion combined streams —Bridges will also feature the previously released singles “If You Ever Change Your Mind”(a bittersweet but empowered piece produced by Greg Kurstin, an eight-time GRAMMY Award® winner known for his work with Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Adele), “Rise”(a wildly soaring track whose video features a captivating performance from British actor Georgia Hirst), and “Biblical”(a heart-on-sleeve ballad Calum later followed with an American Sign Language version made in collaboration with the Tony Award®-winning Deaf West Theatre).
