The Maine back in Manila this August 2022

The long wait is over for the Filipino fans of the “Arizona emo group” as PULP Live World brings them back for a one-off show in Southeast Asia with THE MAINE BACK IN MANILA, happening on August 27, 2022, at the Skydome, SM City North EDSA.

Celebrating their 15th anniversary this 2022 and the release of their 8th studio album XOXO: From Love and Anxiety in Real Time last July 2021, the band is now more eager to perform their new songs in front of a live audience. Fans can look forward to an incredible setlist following the success of their latest single, “Sticky”, hitting No. 19 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart and the release of their collaboration song “Loved You A Little” with Taking Back Sunday and Charlotte Sands.

As the pandemic took over the world for the past two years, the band constantly worked on their music and established stronger connections with their fans online despite the struggles of not being able to go on tours. And now that the world is slowly opening its doors to live events, The Maine is excited to return to Manila for the seventh time and play for the ever-passionate community they have built over the years.

Presented by PULP Live World, tickets to THE MAINE BACK IN MANILA happening on August 27, 2022, Saturday, at the Skydome, SM City North EDSA are priced at P4,500 (PLATINUM), P3,000 (GOLD), and P2,500 (SILVER), inclusive of meet and greet for all ticketholders depending on health restrictions (only fully vaccinated guests are allowed inside the venue). Gates open at 6:00PM, show starts at 8:00PM.

Jackson Wang returns with new single, “Blow”

Jackson Wang returns with a new single and video for “Blow,” out now via TEAM WANG Records/88rising Records/Warner Records. The highly-anticipated “Blow” unveils an explosive new sonic direction – blending punchy guitar riffs with anthemic pop – and heralds Jackson’s artistic evolution.

“Blow” is accompanied by a music video directed by longtime collaborator Daniel Cloud Campos (Jackson Wang’s “100 Ways”, Panic! At The Disco, Zedd) which perfectly complements the song’s fiery energy. Brimming with theatrical suspense, choreography, and fashion, the video highlights his masterful showmanship and introduces fans to the first look at Jackson’s Magic Man persona (which inspired the creation and direction of his forthcoming album of the same name).

“Blow” is Jackson’s first English single release of 2022 and hints at what’s to come from the rest of the year. It follows the successful release of 2021’s “Drive You Home” and “LMLY”, which have garnered over 40 million and 90 million streams respectively. Both singles charted on the Mediabase U.S. Pop Top 40 chart. In the Fall of 2019, Jackson released his critically acclaimed debut solo album, MIRRORS, which debuted at #32 on the Billboard 200. With MIRRORS, Jackson became the highest-charting solo artist debut from China.

In addition to being a singer and producer, Jackson is also a fashion designer, creative director, founder of TEAM WANG, and member of the hugely successful K-Pop group, Got7. Jackson has collaborated with multiple global brands including Fendi, Cartier, Armani Beauty, Rayban, L’Oreal, Pepsi, and BMW. In his ascent, Jackson has amassed over 50 million followers across socials.

The Powerful Pairing of Timmy Albert and Angelina Cruz Blooms Into “roses & sunflowers (together)”

After racking up 6.3 million streams on Spotify, Timmy Albert’s 2019 single, “roses & sunflowers” gets a surprisingly refreshing alternate version this 2022.

And to make this song release very special, Timmy is joined by rising recording artist Angelina Cruz – ultimately calling it “roses & sunflowers (Together)”

There’s no doubt that “roses & sunflowers” paved the way for Timmy’s popularity to rise and it was able to resonate with his listeners really well. Now with Angelina on board, the catchy tune is expected to gain yet another surge in attention on music streaming platforms.

The addition of her dazzling vocals gives this version a whole new vibe, complementing the song’s revamped warm strings. It’s safe to say that “roses & sunflowers (Together)” is a delectable collaboration that captures the essence of summer full of love and happiness.

4th Impact makes a sterling comeback on new single “Here We Go”

It’s official: 4th Impact is the newest addition to Sony Music Philippines and ShowBT Philippines’ roster of music talents, which include P-Pop kings SB19 and five-member girl group KAIA.

No stranger to conquering the international music scene, 4th Impact made waves in the UK after finishing fifth on the British singing contest, The X Factor and peaking at No. 10 on iTunes Brazil with their 2020 single “K(NO)W MORE.” Late last year, the award-winning girl group co-headlined the crossover orchestra concert, Forte with SB19, which received glowing reviews for its exemplary fusion of classical and Pinoy pop music on a live stage format.

After being officially welcomed by Sony Music Philippines and ShowBT Philippines as part of the family, 4th Impact expressed gratitude for the interesting developments in their career. “It’s an answered prayer for us,” the sister act shares in a statement. “We once prayed for a management who will really take care of us and believe in what we can do. We feel ShowBT and Sony Music are the right companies to help us reach more of our dreams. And it is such a great honor to be part of their roster and be lined up with the P-Pop Kings: SB19.”

To mark the beginning of this eventful partnership, 4th Impact has released their new single “Here We Go,” which was produced by Choi YoungHo (Handsome People) and Zrademusic (Adrian K, Methuselah K.). With a masterful blend of R&B diva chops, hip-hop sass, and stadium-sized energy, the upbeat track positions 4th Impact as a vocal powerhouse deserving of global acclaim.

“We wanted it to be a new anthem,” said the chart-topping quartet. “It’s an empowering song that aims to celebrate Filipinas all around the world, and how they’ve shown grace and excellence amidst troubling times.”

4th Impact revealed that it’s their first time writing a song, and that their own life story is the main inspiration behind the lyrics. “We wanted to empower everyone, especially Filipino women, to believe in themselves and hold on to their dreams. Everything is possible if we just work together as one.”

The pop-R&B jam is accompanied by a music video which finds the Cercado sisters Almira, Irene, Mylene, and Celina looking all sassy and confident in a star-making performance. It’s also part of 4th Impact’s first single album, which contains the following tracks:

  1. Here We Go
  2. K(no)w More
  3. Here We Go (Instrumental)
  4. K(no)w More (Instrumental)

4th Impact’s “Here We Go” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Philippines.

CHNDTR releases new single “Di Nga Pala Tayo”

CHNDTR (pronounced as Chindetera), a 4-piece OPM/pop rock band from Manila, Philippines, has released a brand new single called ‘Di Nga Pala Tayo’. The band shares that the song is for people who are stuck in a one-sided kind of love, a love that prevents them from being genuinely happy.

The band consists of guitarist and lead vocalist (Chin Detera), lead guitarist and backing vocalist (Niko Bacani), Bassist and backing vocalist (Sean De Leon), and drummer (Zach Alcasid). Formed in April 2016, the “hugot-core” fine-tuned band deals with the lovestruck and stylishly digital, daring generation.

Gloc-9 Harks Back To His Legendary Music Career, Drops Latest Single “Pilak”

Universal Records is proud to honor Gloc-9’s astounding impact on the Filipino music scene throughout his illustrious career. This year, the iconic “Makata sa Pinas” marks his 25th year in the industry and as a grand celebration, he is slated to release a brand-new album which will be called “Pilak”.

And this March, Gloc-9 proudly releases the title track of his anniversary album, which encompasses a mixture of powerful storytelling about his unrivaled hustle and learnings for two and a half decades and enchanting hip-hop melodies. With pure emotional honesty, the veteran rapper also thanked his solid supporters over the years who helped him achieve all the accolades and milestones that he reached. There’s no denying that “Pilak” is a song borne from the heart of a very thankful seasoned artist.

His fans will surely enjoy the song’s seamless barrage of metaphors and verses that only he can deliver. As usual, Gloc delivers another poetic masterpiece which was further heightened by the musical arrangement, mixing and mastering by Thyro Alfaro and cover artwork by CLMRarts. The official music video helmed by director Edrex Clyde Sanchez is also out now on YouTube.

The song is a very appreciative circumspect of his artistic journey which started with a dream, and paved by sweat, blood, and tears – all of which led to his eventual day in front of the klieg lights, the accolades, and the many awards that followed. As they say, “success is in the journey” and it truly is.

This gave Gloc-9 a better appreciation of what he has now as he stands front and center with contentment and thankfulness in his heart. A very inspirational message to young artists who are now trekking their own paths to glory.

With “Pilak”, Gloc-9 proves that he still has a lot of gas left in the tank and he’ll surely deliver a bona fide hit if he wants to. You have to start streaming this brand-new single right now!
