Mayonnaise Releases 8th Studio Album: Friends & Family

Fresh from their 18th Anniversary show dubbed Mayonna18e – attended by a limited number of fans due to restrictions, but watched by thousands of people when it was aired online; OPM alt-rock band Mayonnaise has finally unveiled their 8th studio album: Friends & Family.

In the world of sneakers, “Friends & Family” is an extremely exclusive collection that one can only cop if they are connected to the designer or manufacturer. They are not made for the public and while they do become available in time, they’re likely very expensive.

To Mayonnaise, 18 years in the business and an 8th studio album are things they take seriously, and would not have gotten without the support of the people they worked with in the industry, and of course their fans (Mayonation).

The tracks from this album are Mayonnaise’s best music yet, including collaborations with the biggest names in the OPM industry. Mostly produced during quarantine, the unexpected free time gave the band members an opportunity to truly reflect on their message and artistry, working their creative juices and carefully crafting every aspect of the album.

Released under Yellow Room Music Philippines, the album contains remastered versions of four previously released collaborations with Manila String Machine, I Belong to the Zoo, Raymund Marasigan, and Barbie Almalbis. Fans are also in for a treat with the five new songs unveiled in this album. Must-listens include “Gen-Y” with Gloc-9, “Sniper Training” with Josh Villena of Autotelic, and “Butanding” with Steve Bandiola of Typecast.

Looking to end this very long year with a bang with their album release, there’s definitely more to watch out for from Mayonnaise and Yellow Room Music Philippines in 2021.

Friends & Family is now out on all digital music platforms.

“Awit ng Mithi talks about love fading over time. Because sometimes, feelings change, or at least for one person. It talks about longing for a relationship to go back to the start, when things were good.” said Carmina on the meaning of the song. “It talks about wishing for love to be found again from the partner who changed and does not seem to be around anymore. I hope that by sharing what I wrote, people would feel that they are not alone in this experience and that they can find comfort in knowing that.”

A truly sensational artist, Carmina started her YouTube channel at the age of 17. She started posting cover songs then eventually shared her original compositions.

She sealed her status with the success of her cover “Afterlife” by Avenged Sevenfold which has over 3 million views on YouTube and “Eyes on Me” by Faye Wong (in the style of a music video) with 1 million views. Her most popular original song was “I don’t want to love another” which was well loved by her fans as several of them made their own covers of the hit song on YouTube. Bea Miller Shares New Music Video Featuring Aminé “Feel Something Different”

Bea Miller shares her new music video for “FEEL SOMETHING DIFFERENT” watch it here. The new collaboration from Miller and critically acclaimed rapper Aminé is featured on Bea’s latest EP elated! out now. “FEEL SOMETHING DIFFERENT” is a hypnotic new take on Miller’s viral hit “feel something” released last summer. The original track has amassed nearly 200 million streams and its official video has 13 million views, while also becoming a TikTok hit, with 4 billion video views and over 1.5 million TikTok video creations to date.

The “FEEL SOMETHING DIFFERENT” video is an experiment in what living through the pandemic in the 1990’s would be like. Its characters try to stay connected in a pre-internet world, which ultimately exposes themes of loneliness, boredom and vulnerability. Much the like the song’s upbeat tempo is juxtaposed by its candid lyrics, the video is drenched in color while conveying a more subdued sense of longing and alienation.

Director Gina Gizella Manning explains, “Working on this video with Bea was seamless – her passion, talent and drive inspires every part of this collaboration. When we had our first meeting about “elated!” pre-covid we were both really drawn to finding a middle ground between reality and ‘surreality.’ And ironically since the pandemic, this year has really had us drawing inward and seeking help and acceptance from the inside, out. With our use of practical effects we worked to create a world that dissociates reality from mentality. What is real? What is perceived?”

Manning has also directed the videos for “hallelujah” and “forever is a lie” with more videos on the way. The connectivity between all of the new videos from elated! was intentional, with the striking clips reflecting the fearless nature of Bea’s bold new music as she continues to show her talents as a vocalist and songwriter.

Tickets are available now for “Bea Miller Presents the elated! Experience Recorded Live in Los Angeles” on December 12; purchase here. The special event follows her recent return to the stage earlier this month for Save Our Stages, #SOSFest, the three day virtual festival from YouTube Music and the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) to help save independent venues across the U.S. Watch Bea’s electric live set from the show here.

At only 21, Bea Miller has garnered over 2 billion streams to date. She boasts over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify and 1.5 million Instagram followers. Last year, she collaborated with Jessie Reyez on “FEELS LIKE HOME,” 6lack on “it’s not u it’s me” and UK duo Snakehips on “NEVER GONNA LIKE YOU.” In 2019 she made her festival debuts at Lollapalooza, Firefly, Outside Lands, Bumbershoot, Life is Beautiful and Austin City Limits among others, and closed out the year with a second successful headline tour, “sunsets in outerspace,” across North America and Europe.

Cebuano singer-songwriter Joe Vince releases the long-awaited new emotive single

Manila, Philippines– Talented singer-songwriter from Cebu, Joe Vince, is back with another ‘hugot’ love song to bring comfort to broken hearts which will be released on November 27, 2020 via evosound.

Joe Vince latest single “Sa’king Tabi” is a song about one trying to confront their partner on whether they still have an agenda with their past relationship. It is a song Joe wrote for people who were left behind and had no clue of what happened. Following his last successful track “Masaya Ka Na Ba” inspired by his break-up with his first relationship and has been covered by a lot of independent musical artists now comes “Sa’king Tabi” which again, has a touching melody with a 90’s R&B vibe and has perfectly demonstrated his modulated and soothing vocals.

‘Thanks for always believing in me, I still got a lot of songs planned to be released. And very excited to share them with you all,’ Joe Vince shared.

Joe Vince started playing music when he was 14 years old back in his hometown Cebu City. He started his career as a lead singer of a worship band for Youth for Christ, a religious youth group that was a big part of his teenage years. He moved to Manila to pursue music production, and while at school he would do events and gigs during his spare time and got to experience busking in BGC.

In 2013, he was invited to take part in Ryan Cayabyan’s Element Song Writing Camp. This was the event that opened many doors for him, including an appearance in the show “This is my story, this is my song” where he got to do an impromptu musical composition with Juris of MYMP.

The same song was also used as a background music for Madam Kilay break up vlog. Joe’s voice has been used as one of the voices for the ABS-CBN show: YOUR FACE SOUNDS FAMILIAR. Another song “If I Could Just” is one of his most popular songs on SoundCloud and got him more followers on social media.

Listen to Joe Vince’s new single Sa’king Tabi via evosound to be available on November 27, 2020 on Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, deezer.

Diamond Certified, Grammy-Nominated Bebe Rexha Unveils “Baby, I’m Jelous” feat. Doja Cat

Diamond-certified, Grammy-nominated, Global Superstar Bebe Rexha teams up with Doja Cat for a stormy new single and video, “Baby, I’m Jealous,” that explores the insecurities of living in a digital age. Slinking synth work and a shivering bassline set the stage for an intoxicating pop bop about the perils of scrolling endlessly through social media.
Rexha wrote, and sings, about the negativity the modern era often imposes on people—envy, rage, self-doubt—but the single isn’t dark and brooding. “Baby, I’m Jealous” is funky, playful, and confident, even before Doja Cat sideswipes the song with a few gleeful bars aimed squarely at society’s expectations for women (“Waste trainer for a tinier waist / But I can’t help if I like the way food taste”). According to Rexha, it’s all about taking ownership of those complex emotions.

“‘Baby, I’m Jealous’ is a song I wrote about embracing my insecurities,” Rexha explains. “It’s about the way social media has heightened my jealousy which can affect how I feel about myself. We are constantly flooded with the highlights of other people’s lives, and at times I find myself comparing my worth and beauty to others. It’s part of the human process to experience jealousy—ultimately, this is an anthem to embrace those feelings as a form of empowerment.”

Today, Rexha also shares a stunning technicolor video for the single, directed by frequent award-winning collaborator Hannah Lux Davis, which features actors and influencers Charli D’Amelio, Nikita Dragun, and Avani Gregg. Rexha’s siren red hair bursts off the screen and the musical wonder woman’s playful lyrics come to life in the colorful fantastical clip.

“Baby, I’m Jealous” is Rexha’s first release of 2020, but it arrives hot on the heels of the news that her #1 hit “Meant to Be” with Florida Georgia Line, was certified Diamond (10x Platinum) by the RIAA. In 2018, Rexha released her debut album Expectations, which featured that hit alongside another Platinum single, “I’m a Mess.” Rexha had a busy 2019 as well, releasing a string of ecstatic cuts, including the simmering “Last Hurrah,” the swooning “Not 20 Anymore,” and her euphoric feature on the Chainsmokers’ “Call You Mine.” “Baby, I’m Jealous” with Doja Cat is just the first taste of the thrilling new music Rexha has on the horizon. This comes off the news of Rexha newly signing with SAL&CO management. She’s set to release a new album in early 2021, so stay tuned.
